Credit Union

This Credit Union has been part of the community for over 50 years, growing bigger and stronger each year. Established in the 1960’s its members are now in excess of €35m in their savings and have loans of €18m. The members live or work in the common bond that incorporates six parishes across the county. There are 10,000 members in he Credit Union. The Credit Union has 12 Board of Directors and operates across three offices in the region.

Project

Credit Unions are authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. One of the requirements under Central Bank regulations is to send out Annual General Meeting invitations and notifications to all members keeping them informed of their accounts, regulatory affairs and operational changes. The Credit Union employed the services of Hybrid Mail Solutions to graphically design and print 10,000 AGM booklets and covering letters in C5 and C4 format. The AGM booklet contained 36 pages containing Directors Report, Statement of Directors Responsibilities, Statement of Board Oversight, Committee’s Responsibilities, Auditors’ Report, Income and Expenditure Account, Balance Sheet, Statement of Changes in Reserves, Cashflow Statement and pictures and imagery of events throughout the year.

Result

Hybrid Mails Solutions set up a secure file transfer for all data to be passed across for graphic design. The graphic designers designed the booklets as per the requirements of the credit Union on InDesign sending proofs back and forth for approval. The Credit Union wanted a personal local feel and touch to the booklet which involved many pictures and extracts from the community. The booklet was approved, printed a posted in less the 5 days meeting the tight deadlines set out buy Central Bank.
